Refreshed focus wins over education partners & enrichment providers
SmartKids Asia’s move to refresh its focus on language and learning in the 21st century for
young learners has won over returning and first-time exhibitors at the event this year.

Qiren Organisation, the no. 1 leading life insurance agency in AIA Singapore, returns for the
second year running as Presenting Sponsor of the event and is located at booth D27. The
organisation’s goal has always been to maximise its reach out to people with financial planning
need. The aspiration to create an ideal platform for education that would empower clients’
children in achieving their maximum potential is one of the key drivers to being actively
involved in established children’s events, driving towards its vision to be the preferred insurer
for Family & Kids.

As Official Learning Partner , Marshall Cavendish Education , located at booth D09 is the
leading K-12 educational solutions provider in over 60 countries and uses a blend of
research-driven approaches and innovative technology to enrich students’ learning and teachers’
professional development.

DaVinci Labs participates for the first time at the event and is located at Booth C01. The
provider equips students aged 9 to 15 with the Computational Thinking foundation required to
suceed in the algorithmic economy. By learning to code, DaVinci students develop a deeper
understanding of traditional school subjects such as science and mathematics. They become
better equipped with test-taking, problem solving and collaborating.

Also a first-timer at SmartKids Asia, YANG GUANG Chinese Enrichment Centre is located
at B25 within The Learning Pavilion. The centre supports children in building character
through values & helps build confidence in speaking and writing Chinese. As the first
values-based enrichment centre in Singapore, it focuses on developing future-ready children and
offers highly-interactive Chinese Composition Writing & Enrichment Classes to help children
master the language.

CHALLENGE ISLAND, located at B27 within The Learning Pavilion debuts as well at the
event. The programme was developed in the US and is a fast-growing international enrichment
programme that combines GROWTH MINDSET development with S.T.E.A.M education
elements. The programme builds Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Sociability,
Creativity & Perseverance which are core skills essential for the 21st Century.

Other first-time exhibitors include MusiKinder, Inspired Arts, Kodecoon LLP, Le Grand School
of Dance, Writers’ Studio, Las Lilas to name a few.

In conjunction with World Water Day, PUB , Singapore’s National Water Agency partners
SmartKids Asia for the first time as well and is leveraging the educational platform towards
developing responsible water users for the future through an interactive exhibition and engaging
activities at Booth B01. The public can redeem a free gift* at the event when they show a drop in
their latest water bill. *upon availability

Mandy Wong, Business Director, International, Sphere Exhibits, said: “We now live in a
world where technologies have disrupted traditional classroom learning and requirements. As the
educational event for parents, caregivers and educators of young learners, the refreshed
SmartKids Asia is well timed to provide learning opportunities for a future ready generation.”

“We’re truly excited to have the return of key education partners, enrichment centres as well as
many first-time exhibitors alongside as we evolve into a 21st century learning classroom that
focuses on content, learning, innovation and life skills.”

SmartKids Asia is an educational event that is not just for parents. Caregivers and educators alike
will benefit from practical tips and tools they can use to best support and create the positive
learning environments their children need to prepare for the future in their role as a child’s first

Ltd (SPH), the revitalisation of SmartKids Asia is driven by two new highlights – an education
pavilion and a sensory art trial.

The Learning Pavilion
For the first time, The Learning Pavilion , a dedicated area within the exhibit hall will showcase
language and enrichment programmes that nurture and support the development of young
learners towards a future ready generation. It also features organisations that support schools,
parents and training programmes through products and services.

Taking a leaf out of Korea’s international children’s education and product fair, K-Children, the
pavilion at SmartKids Asia adopts a similar concept of the shared classroom format which
embraces co-learning amongst the exhibitors and visitors.

The pavilion is located at the back of the exhibition hall, right in front of the event’s popular
theatrical segment, Storyland.

Exhibitors within the pavilion include Augustine’s English Classes, Challenge Island,
Elloquence English Learning Centre, Fun-da-mentals Learning Centre, Knowledge Point
Education Hub, Precious Gems, Premium Tutors, The Musical Voyage, The Learning Board,
vGenius and Yang Guang Chinese Enrichment Centre to name a few.

Visitors to this dedicated educational pavilion can look forward to specially curated educational
activities and games that are designed by participating exhibitors to simultaneously teach and

games, math quizzes, mini English challenges, craft activities such as
make-your-own-musical-instrument, musical word of the day (Presto/Largo,
Crescendo/Decrescendo as an example), pop quizzes on cards for all levels and more.

All activities within this pavilion are free-to-play for children between 2 and 12 years old.
Participants may get to walk away with small prizes and rewards upon completion of individual
prizes conducted by participating exhibitors.

Sensory Art Trail
Also making its debut is the Sensory Art Trail – a multi-sensory experiential trail where pockets
of experimental spaces lie in. Specially curated by a lecturer from Laselle College of the Arts,
Singapore’s premium art school and three Singaporean artists, participants at SmartKids Asia’s
first-ever Sensory Art Trail will encounter a carousel of textures, a lab of taste and smell, a land
of instruments, a logic game space while navigating a conceptual tropical forest trail.

Sensory play is crucial to a child’s brain development and should include any activity that
stimulates a young learner’s senses: touch, smell, movement, balance, sight and hearing.

Through this trail, SmartKids Asia will facilitate exploration beyond touch and encourage
children to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore. Online
registration will open in the first week of March.
