IT SHOW 2012 to showcase the latest trends in IT and consumer electronics

Biggest ever IT SHOW now comes with online floor plans and over $90,000 cash prizes in hourly draws

Singapore, 6 March 2012 – IT SHOW 2012 has set a new record as the largest IT and Consumer Electronics Exhibition in Singapore. The amount of exhibition space has expanded from 345,000 to 350,000 square feet due to overwhelming response from more than 830 exhibitors.

Organised by Exhibits Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), the four day show will be held at Suntec Singapore from 8 to 11 March 2012, from 12 noon to 9 pm daily. Admission is free.

IT SHOW 2012 offers the most complete showcase ever staged in Singapore – sprawling over five levels of exhibition space at Suntec Singapore (levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6) – bustling with pure digital entertainment and introducing new product categories spanning across multiple industries.

This year’s IT SHOW will display a dynamic and comprehensive line-up of the latest and hottest consumer technology gadgets from next-generation connected televisions, mobile phones, netbooks, digital imaging accessories and peripherals, wireless technology, electronic gaming software and hardware, home entertainment and other lifestyle products and consumer electronics, all under one roof. To help improve visitors’ experience at the Show, floor plans of IT SHOW 2012 will be made available online.

Helming the IT Show 2011 are leading global marquee brands such as Acer, Asus, Canon, Fuji Xerox, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, Nikon, Sony and Samsung. Leading local brands such as SingTel, Starhub and M1 will also be making their presence felt at the IT Show 2011.

Brands will use the IT SHOW as a platform to launch their latest products. ASUS will be launching its N Series Jay Chou Mystic Edition N45SL. The design of the notebook is inspired by the Taiwanese superstar’s latest album, and even includes a graphic of his signature. Sennheiser’s Amperior headphones will also have its first Asian showcase at IT SHOW 2012.

Last year, the buzz was netbooks, ebook readers and 3D TV. This year, it will be all about tablets, super phones, apps, ‘Smart TV’ systems amongst others.”

“IT SHOW is the Super Bowl of electronics exhibitions, and IT SHOW 2012 will continue to raise the bar as we will be expecting sales of over 75 million, as compared to 72 million last year. We are also expecting a turnout of 840,000 visitors, an increase from the 830,000 last year,” added Mr Koh.

It celebration of its 11th show, IT SHOW 2012 will be giving away more than $90,000 in cash over the four days. There will be an hourly draw conducted at level 6 of Suntec Singapore each day where consumers can stand a chance to win $500.
