COMEX 2011 returns with biggest haul of exhibitors and exhibition space

Singapore, 1 September 2011 – COMEX, Singapore’s largest IT consumer exhibition, marks its biggest show ever with COMEX 2011. Organised by Exhibits Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), the four-day show will be held at Suntec Singapore beginning today till 4 September 2011, from 12 noon to 9pm daily.

As proof of its scale, COMEX 2011 will have 835 exhibitors covering over 355,000 square feet of exhibition space. It takes up five levels of exhibition spaces at Suntec Singapore, including the foyer area at Level 1, the ballrooms and meeting rooms at Level 2 and 3, and the exhibition halls at Levels 4 and 6.

IT aficionados and bargain hunters can look forward to the latest innovations and technologies from an extensive range of products in digital imaging accessories and peripherals, electronic gaming software and hardware to home entertainment, lifestyle electronics and mobile communications.

Helming COMEX 2011 are leading global marquee brands such as Apple, Canon, Fuji Xerox, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft and Samsung. Leading local brands such as the three telecommunication companies SingTel, Starhub and M1, as well as Creative and Osim will also be making their presence felt at COMEX 2011.

One of the key highlights in COMEX 2011 is the iPavilion which is presented by epiCentre. Visitors to COMEX 2011 will experience their very own “Mac World” which showcases a record-setting display of software and accessories for Apple’s iPad, iPhone, iPod, and Macintosh products and platforms.

Another highlight is “Playtest @ COMEX”, jointly organised with HardwareMAG and Hardware Visitors to “Playtest @ COMEX” will be able to better understand the latest technologies through talks and activities with prizes at the meeting rooms 208 and 209 at Level 2.

With the relationship between technology and content growing in significance, visitors can also look forward to seeing a host of exciting new products that will be displayed for the first time, such as touchscreen tablets, “Smart TV” systems which display web content and super phones.

This year, with 5 per cent more exhibitors on board and 5 per cent more exhibition space taken up, we are targeting to draw in 850,000 visitors and a projected $75 million in sales. With exciting offerings and a wide range of hot deals, COMEX 2011 has something for everyone.”
